Scouts Make Move Possible

Scouts from Troop 127 Lincoln worked, this Saturday, to move several hundred cartons of books and files from the Town Offices to storage facilities at Bemis Hall and the Hartwell pods.  Town Clerk, Susan Brooks, and Assistant Town Administrator, Anita Scheipers, served breakfast and lunch, and directed the group of scouts and other volunteers from LS.  Marige Bursaw, Troop 127’s Service Coordinator, organized the scouts’ Community Service effort, and logged the hours each scout put in.  Be sure to have your hours transcribed to the service section in your Handbook, dated, and initialed by your Scoutmaster or ASM.

The strength and stamina shown by our boys was quite amazing.  None of these cartons weighed less than 30 Lb’s, and some close to 60!  Chris Bursaw handed the heaviest boxes down from an overhead shelf to Anita’s husband, tall Paul, who then transferred them to mighty mites of Troop 127 (pictured).  The three high school volunteers also did some heavy lifting, and one of them, Fernando, closely supervised the storage logistics.  He is shown working with Michael C.
