Treelot Setup

A large contingent of scouts and scouters converged on the treelot Saturday morning to fetch materials from attic and shed, and combine them in our traditional formation of tree-racks and lighting.  The conventional hot chocolate and donuts were delivered by our new treelot manager, Bill Finsthwait, who followed up three hours later with the customary pizza.  Another new face in the pantheon of treelot captains was Tony Liepert, who took over Joe Cusano’s supervisory role of raising the racks and fences.  Ian was up the ladder as usual, hanging the overhead lights, but it was the younger scouts—the same crew that bound the fence to the fence posts—that wove the decorative lights through the front fence.  An abundance of expertise and energy was demonstrated by the older scouts in all areas.  Last but not least, we were blessed with a sunny, windless day in the mid-40’s.  These are the good old days.
